My goals last month were be positive, finish rewriting Being Vampire, get Balance of Love ready for publication and submit a short to Defy the Dark. All those goals were derailed by Snapshot's Typo That Will Not Be Named. (Yes, I am totally ripping off Harry Potter.) For two weeks I didn't write, didn't worry about it, and barely thought about it. Although, I didn't really have much of a choice. The Typo That Will Not Be Named sent my muse into hiding. I wouldn't have been able to write if I tried. I wasn't even able to rewrite stuff that was already written! I did make lots of jewelry. Hubby and I took some Sunday trips and went to some local tourist traps.
Which gave me a story idea... which I just realized I forgot. Maybe it will come back to me later. After Being Vampire is rewritten... if I ever get to it. I got back to writing the other day and started rewriting the third story in the Path of Angels series. Then my allergies kicked my butt... well, the medicine I take for my allergies kicked my butt. Stuff knocks me right out during the day. At night, I wake up every four hours with an itchy throat and nose and have to take more. Also, Claritin is not giving me 24 hour relief. Not cool, Claritin.
Anyways, AYWN goals.
- Obviously, I can't roll over the Defy the Dark because the submission deadline is beginning of September. Plus, the story I had in mind I wasn't feeling before the Typo That Must Not Be Named happened and I'm still not feeling it. So I guess that's not really a goal anymore.
- I need to work on Being Vampire. Problem is every time I think about it, I start worrying about how it will compare to Being Human.
- Since I started Path of Angels #3 I'm going to work on that.
- Last, is Balance of Love. A friend agreed to read it over and proof it for me. Once I get it back I can publish it! Yay!
