I'm going to start with some shameless promotion. It's Smashwords annual Read an Ebook Week (they really need a hashtag for this to take advantage of Twitter!) Both SNAPSHOTS and BEING HUMAN are enrolled. All this week, at checkout plug in code RAE50 to get 50% off both books!
Love... Even the word sounds like a sigh. But is it a sigh of contentment—or of regret? If you've found it, the world shines in colors vivid. If you've lost it, life fades into grays and shadows. There's nothing quite as intense as falling in love. Or as the feeling of loss when it ends.
Cover reveals are my favorite part of the publishing process. More than the actual book being released. So when Marie asked for help with revealing a cover she created for her friend, Kymber C. Hawke, I pretty much said, OMG YES! ^^ (Also, the timing is perfect because I was gone all weekend and am too tired to do my #writemotivation post or any other post that doesn't involve copy and pasting.)
Secrets have been buried in a steel town for many years, but someone is about to blow the lid off of them and rock this sleepy little town. One powerful man will stop at nothing to keep the secrets lest the entire town collapse. Meanwhile, at a local tourist attraction called the Watering Hole, Cassidy Tanner has just hired a mysterious stranger named West.
Cassidy loves her life just the way it is--business like and organized. Serving as both Personnel Manager and Assistant Activities Director to the Watering Hole, this meets her needs nicely. But when mysterious and good looking West arrives, her world is turned upside-down. Besides being drop dead gorgeous, West carries the secrets of the steel town. Cassidy is attracted to the stranger but a relationship seems impossible as West’s accusations make him appear crazy and bodies start to pile up.
Not long ago, I had a twitter conversation with a friend and ended up asking, "Is there anything you like?" After a few answers, I responded "I meant fandoms." Friend concluded that she is fandom impaired.
To me, that's unfathomable. I will fangirl out on any number of things. Green Day. Criminal Minds. Warm Bodies (movie or book.) Portal. Legend of Zelda. Vampires. Doctor Who. Serial Killers. The list goes on and on.
There is just something about the excitement of fandoms. The excitement when something you've been dying for is finally released. This is it! OMG will it be as good as I hope? And when it is as good or better, yeah, I have a hard time shutting up. You didn't like it? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?
I am interrupting your regular writing blog for important news.
GREEN DAY HAS RELEASED A NEW ALBUM!!!!!!
*crickets chirp* Hey, I think it's important. After all, this is the first of three albums they are releasing over the next few months.
This completely makes up for the second part of Breaking Dawn ruining my birthday. Dos comes out November 13th. I will spend many hours in bliss and ignoring all the Twilight surrounding me.
