Before I get to #QotM and #WriteMotivation, I have winners to announce for my Path of Angels series giveaway. Congratulations to...
Love... Even the word sounds like a sigh. But is it a sigh of contentment—or of regret? If you've found it, the world shines in colors vivid. If you've lost it, life fades into grays and shadows. There's nothing quite as intense as falling in love. Or as the feeling of loss when it ends.
With the holidays and craft shows taking up my time November and December, I opted to skip #WriteMotivation. I was knitting instead of writing so there wasn't much progress to be had. (One goal I did want to highlight was I have a review up at StoryDam about a book on writing that I really recommend. You can check it out here.) But I knew I didn't want to give it up. As I said in my New Years Day post, it really helps keep me accountable. With that in mind, time to set some goals for January.
I'm back with another question of the month posed by Michael D'Agostino at a Life Examined. Feel free to join the fun every month and see what others answer.
Which one social convention would you get rid of?
In other words, what’s one thing that society insists you do that you can’t stand?
Not going to lie, my gut reaction was to say ALL OF THEM! Despite how chatty and open I can be online, I am actually a very anti-social person. Talking to people face to face? Especially a complete stranger? Please don't make me. Let me hid in a corner or behind someone else who is talking.
This isn't my real answer, of course. I know of the perfect social convention I would LOVE to get rid of. *sharpens ax*
It's time for the Insecure Writer's Support Group again. IWSG is posted the first Wednesday of every month. It is the brain child of Ninja Captain Alex J. Cavanaugh. Get your fears and insecurities out or give words of encouragement. We're writers, let's support each other!
This months co-hosts are Tyrean Martinson, Karen Walker, Denise Covey, and Stephen Tremp.
This month I'm not feeling that insecure, but more guilty. The Christmas craft shows are starting and so far I have four, one I haven't gotten the application for, but my mom and I have been doing it every year, and plan to this year.
