I've actually rewritten this post because my mood and energy levels turned around. The other day I was exhausted by the idea of writing. When I thought back, I realized hubby and I hadn't done anything relaxing in a while. We've been busy, busy, busy with work and social events. Even doing something fun can be draining when there's an obligation behind it.
I am seriously thinking of starting each writing sessions by knitting.
I guess my plot of this post is it's important for writers to know what helps them get in the mood for writing. For some it's music. Others have to turn off the Internet. Some thrive under the pressure of the deadline. I have discovered knitting helps me.
This epiphany excites me a bit. How much faster will I write now? I might get more projects made too. Then I can buy more yarn! This is win freaking win! What gets your gears cranking for writing?
