- Read at least two books from the TBR pile. - Um, haven't picked up a single book. Bad Patty.
- Keep up with the 100 word Friday Quick Fic. - Yup! I skipped last Friday for a little Weird Al fun.
- Edit the rest of Path of Angels short stories. - YES! YES! YES! It only took me a half a month, but I finally edited the last two chapters of Path of Angels 4.
- Stop being so shy and ask people for help. (That can be a goal right?) - This brings me to the second part of this post.
Anyone up for some beta reading?
Out of Secrets is a YA LGTB paranormal and about 50K words. Path of Angels is NA urban fantasy (I think. Not 100% sure) with M/M and M/F relationships. Nothing too graphic. Each part is around 19K words so about 76K words total. I'd send one short at a time. I'm hoping to have Out of Secrets ready for publication around August - September at the latest. Path of Angels doesn't have a release date yet. I do want each short ready around the same time so I can release one right after the other without too much time in between.
What I'm looking for is general thoughts on either story, if there are any WTF is she trying to say moments or if you notice a gaping plot hole that I don't. I'm a big girl and can handle red ink... at least for an hour or two, then I get cranky and need a nap. But afterwards, I'm ready to dive back in. (This is true too. I really do react that way when editing.)
I hate asking for a deadline, but since I want to get Out of Secrets published this year, if you can do it in three to four weeks that would be awesome. Path of Angels isn't on any tight deadline. And if life gets in the way, don't feel bad letting me know. It happens. Life is a bitch like that. I'll probably bug you about it from time to time too. Progress reports are nice after all.
