So am I writing now? Uh, not too much. Hubby and I still need to move so the focus has been on finding a place to move. I talked with my former boss at Penny's Kitchen and she's very willing to hire me back. One worry gone. Of the apartments we looked at this past weekend, one was too expensive, one too run down, and one smaller than we'd like. Out of the three, we're going for the smaller one. It looked nice enough. We controlled the heat and had a decent breaker box. Those are two issues we had with one apartment so they are a must.
As for Being Vampire, I didn't work on it at all. I'm conflicted about the story now. Recently, I figured out it needs to take place in a mental institution so the beginning needs to be rewritten. The thing that has put me off the most is I'm not sure how strong the plot is. Is it strong enough to make sense? Plus, I know people are expecting a sequel with Tommy as the star, but I told his story. Tommy shows up in Being Vampire, but he's a secondary character that gets on Drew's nerves. I just don't know and that makes it hard to work on the story.
I didn't achieve any of my goals this month, but ah well. Life kept getting in the way, but I did make progress with Squidboy. That counts for something right? As for new goals...
- Keep working on Squidboy and hopefully get it finished.
- Get Path of Angels out to betas and polish it up.
- Can I put moving as a goal? I am. MOVE!
