Anyways, it's time to discuss goals. Were goals met? Or do they need to be rolled over? That's the nice thing about AYWN?, if you don't achieve a goal, don't beat yourself up, set it for next month. Make yourself keep working on it and one day you'll achieve it. Honestly, I'm not sure if that's the best way to go about things...
Last month, my goals were pretty simple. Pick a first draft and start editing. Finish by the end of the month. I got to work on Out of Secrets, but I didn't finish it. Over halfway at least. My enthusiasm for the story is keeping me motivated so I should finish it soon.
Another goal was to beta read for one of my writing partners. That was achieved. I inked up No Angel for Daniel A. Kaine. Although a few times I wanted to stab him because he kept having his characters' lips stretch across their faces. Just say smile, Daniel!!
My last goal was to read at least one book. A small goal, I know, but when I get caught up writing, I want to finish the writing before picking up a book so reading gets pushed to the side. I did read a book this past month. Teeth by Hannah Moskowitz. Which I really enjoyed.
Two out of three goals isn't bad and the third is more than halfway. I'd call that a successful month. For February, I want to finish Out of Secrets and start a new WIP. I also need to look at Daniel's edits for Path of Angels #1. I got through MB's edits and needed a break before facing more red ink. There are plenty of books for me to choose from to read. I have another Hannah Moskowitz book, so maybe I will read that. I could charge my kindle too and pick something from there. Why do TBR piles never shrink? They just grow! Lastly, I want to set a monthly goal of being a good host and subscribing and visiting the people who signed up. I keep missing posts about AYWN? and that makes me feel really crummy.
