This year, my theme for the challenge is Strange Feelings: weird and possibly made up words to describe feelings we all have. I'll let you guess if the word is real or not.
Xeno
––the smallest measurable unit of human connection exchanged between passing strangers
It was the tiniest of glances. The brief second when our eyes connected as we passed on the street. I didn't know who he was, but he had emerald green eyes that sparkled. In that instance, I was mesmerized. I saw a fairytale wedding, a house with white picket fence, and children playing in the yard. Each night he'd sweep me off my feet and kiss me deeply. Time passed, but our love never waned.
The moment was over as fast as it happened. I continued walking and so did he; already forgotten the perfect future we had seen. To find out more about the April A to Z Blogging Challenge and join the fun click here!

What a beautiful but heartbreaking story! I think I had a few moments like that when I was single. It worked out for the best, though, because I eventually met the perfect person!

Another fantastic word. These moments of instant recognition are rare but special. It makes me think of the Eagles song, Peaceful Easy Feeling. There's a great line that "I have a feeling I may know you, as a lover or a friend." Sometimes that line flashed through my head during one of those moments.

I held onto my Xeno man, so I've been blessed. I don't know if it's a real word or not, but I like the definition!

Sometimes I experience a fleeting second of recognition when I look into the eyes of someone I'm passing on the street, but it's not like imagining some connection with them, imaginary or real, in this life. But rather like remembering them from a past life, and being surprised here we are now, living lives where we don't even know each other. But our souls do.

Such a shame neither of them stopped to talk to the other. I know it's just a story but I bet this happens a lot. I'd like to think that in real life one of them would have said "hello" to strike up a conversation. :)

Nothing like the almost love that might have been. Good use of X.
