Naturally, it wasn't the signed photographs or freebies that I grabbed at MIParaCon. It was books. My first year, I bought six (one I did a giveaway for.) This year, eight. Next year, who knows. I do know that I will have to bring Kristy's book I bought last year and have her sign it. She was doing a reading when I stopped by her table and got it. The only one without an author signature.
Anyways, I thought I'd do a book haul and share what I bought and am most excited to read.
I should also mention that I didn't even get every book I wanted to. Jeff Mudgett didn't have any copies of his and Kristy Robinett left before I could grab another of hers.
On Twitter, when I was writing these posts, I said it went from one post, to two, to four. I'm amending it to five because I have a book haul to share. Last year, I think I came home with five or six books. This year I bought eight. One was from a fellow indie author. INDIES FTW!
By the second half of day two, the chairs we sat in were getting uncomfortable. I should have put on the survey about the con that the audience should get the same chairs the Q&A people got. Those looked comfy. Ernie Hudson especially enjoyed his!
My pictures on day two are a little better because I brought my camera. Still, I had to turn down the resolution to get more than a few pictures. No idea what happened because it use to take a ton of high resolution images.
Day two of MIParaCon started at 9am. Danielle and I showed up yawning and toting Mountain Dew and Mello Yello. But we were excited for it. Especially since the last guest of the day was Josh Gates and we were fans of him. Not to mention Ernie Hudson was doing a Q&A after one guest had to drop out (I think it was Ryder. It looked like she had a scheduling conflict and had another con at the same time. Since she was here last year, she must had decided to go to the other. It was okay, though, there was a little surprise with Josh Gates.)
Anyways, on to the pictures.
It's Friday and I'm supposed to be doing Friday Quick Fic, but I'm holding off once again because I have something cool to share. Last weekend, my bestie, Danielle and I went to MIParaCon which is a convention about all things paranormal. It was my second year attending.
Now, I'm not sure what I think about ghosts, aliens, and Big Foot, but I love reading about them, and watching the TV shows, so it's something that interests me. I like seeing the evidence presented and learning about experiences the people have.
Will I go on a ghost hunt myself?
Oh HELL NO! I am too big of a wuss. I prefer to sit in the comfort of my home, DURING THE DAY, and watch others do it. Anyways, on to Day one of the pictures––which are Danielle's because my phone sucks at taking pictures.
