Every Friday is Celebrate the Small Things with Lexa Cain and L.G. Keltner.
The rules are blog about something good in your life. It can be something little or something big, but the goal is to find the positive in life and celebrate it. Then hop around the linky list on Lexa's blog and see what others are celebrating.
I'd like to start off by celebrating last weekend. My previous CtST was about how I was looking forward to seeing some friends and having a relaxing weekend. It was a success. The laptop stayed home, I logged out of Twitter on my phone, and brought IC friendly food so there was nothing to stress me out. We chilled out and watched movies. Hubby and his friend raged at Donkey Kong (especially when their save file got deleted.) It was relaxing and I felt recharged by it. The nice thing with these friends is they know about my chronic illness and fatigue, so they knew I might curl up and nap, (but they're also expecting a baby, so mama was taking naps too.)
I'm also celebrating a good Trick-or-Treat Reads. I only had 1 person not post. There was also a last minute addition. If you haven't checked out the books, many are still free, so get to it at Trick-or-Treat Reads. I was happy with the amount of downloads I got.
What are you celebrating this week?
Happy Halloween, y'all! Everyone is getting dressed up, watching scary movies, and binging on candy. It's a scary day for me and hubby, too. We both have doctor's appointments today. #EEK!
It's also the 5th Annual Trick-or-Treat Reads event. (It's a good thing last year I noted how many years I've done this because I could not remember...I also almost forgot to write this post. Thankfully Jemina Pett had tweeted about it and I was like, "Oh yeah!")
This year, I'm offering up my usual goodies. Influence of Love is free on Amazon, Smashwords, and Barnes & Noble. Michael is also free at Amazon, Smashwords, Barnes & Noble, iTunes, and Kobo.
For something new I have yet to offer, you can grab Abducted Life at Smashwords for free in any format. Use code HL95A at checkout to get 100% off. (Valid until Nov 18th.)
Lastly, before you take off to the other participants, to celebrate Tempting Friendship and Mistakes of the Past's new covers, I put both on sale for 99cents.
Happy Halloween! May it be filled with good books.
October is here, so you know what that means. It's time to think about Halloween and books. Once again, I'll be hosting Trick-or-Treat Reads.
WHAT IS TRICK-OR-TREAT READS?
For those new, Trick-or-Treat Reads is an annual Halloween event where authors put their books for free and readers go trick-or-treating to get the books. BOOKS ARE THE CANDY!
WHAT DO AUTHORS DO to join?
First, you want to sign up with the linky list below. On Halloween, create a blog post, Twitter or Facebook status that directs readers to where they can find your books. Your book(s) must be free in order to participate. Fan fiction, webcomics, and Wattpad stories are also welcome. You can do that via a giveaway or by making the book(s) free on Amazon, Smashwords, B&N, or other retailers. The book(s) can be any genre. Just make sure to note the audience. The goal is for readers to find your work. Also, make sure readers can easily find your books.
Promote the event with the badges and using the hashtag #trickortreatreads. You are welcome to create your own post on your blog pimping the event. The more people that know about this, the more readers you will meet. I've included the code for your own posts, as well.

If you're a reader, here is what you have to do.
On Halloween, hop around the linky list and download books! You can also help promote by using the hashtag #trickortreatreads or writing your own blog post about the event.
It's here again. The day where kiddies are dressing up and getting tons of candy, and us book lovers are growing our TBR piles. This has become a yearly event for me. I'm offering a few books as goodies this year.
The first goodie is Influence of Love. It's a sweet, love story about the angels and devils that sit on our shoulders, whispering in our ears. Grab it at Wattpad, Amazon, B&N, and Smashwords.
Second goodie is Michael, first book in Path of Angels. Michael is an archangel whose sole duty is to send fallen angels back to Hell, but when he meets Lake Divine, a nephilim, he begins to doubt his path. You can grab your copy at Amazon, Smashwords, B&N, Kobo, or iTunes.
I can't end this event without a vampire book. Being Human is free on Smashwords with code EJ44X. Plug it in at check out. This is perfect for those who love vampires. And those who don't. I get lots of compliments from people who don't like vampires, but enjoyed Being Human.
PS: Mistakes of the Past is officially released today. If you want to learn a fun fact about one of the characters, check out the post here. For today only, it is 99cents on Amazon.
