The rules are blog about something good in your life. It can be something little or something big, but the goal is to find the positive in life and celebrate it. Then hop around the linky list on Lexa's blog and see what others are celebrating.
This week I'm celebrating getting back into writing. October I sorta-kinda took off. I wrote drabbles four times a week and a flash fiction story, but I didn't open any WIPs to write. I needed the break and to take the time off and practice not feeling guilty about not writing. The whole time I thought about my writing, but I didn't pressure myself to produce words. I think it really benefited me because I had a realization about one of my WIPs and after cutting half of what I've written, I've added almost 2K new words. Fatigue and life are still making writing regularly tricky, but I feel more refreshed this month and ready to make an effort.
I'm also celebrating a possible new job. I applied to be a part-time meal deliverer for local seniors and had an interview yesterday. They have to do a background check and there are other applicants, but the guy seemed impressed with the fact I've been ServeSafe certified.
The nice thing about this job is it's from 8:30 am to 1 pm, so 1)I won't have to get up super early. 2)I'll be done early afternoon and that will leave me time to write in the evenings. 3)it's Monday through Friday so hubby and I can continue to sleep in on the weekends. And 4)the pay will be enough that I could use it toward marketing my books, which is my biggest hurdle with promoting my books. Cross your fingers for me.
What are you celebrating this week?
