Celebrate the Small Things

Every Friday is Celebrate the Small Things with Lexa Cain and L.G. Keltner.

The rules are blog about something good in your life. It can be something little or something big, but the goal is to find the positive in life and celebrate it. Then hop around the linky list on Lexa's blog and see what others are celebrating.

This week, I'm celebrating sleep. As in, I'm having an easier time falling asleep due to finally buying some melatonin and taking it before bed. It's a small dose, only 1mg, but that has made all the difference in the world. Instead of spending 2-3 hours or more tossing and turning, I'm falling asleep within an hour, if not sooner, of turning the light off. It's honestly really nice to wake up and not feel like a zombie that takes a few hours to fully wake.

As a result of feeling more refreshed when I get up, I'm also celebrating being productive. I've been working on my edits for Leaves of Fall. I've also been doing some crafty things and designed a new bottle cap magnet in Canva.

For those curious, 906 is the area code for the ENTIRE UPPER PENINSULA  of Michigan. A lot of touristy gifts will have 906 on them.

I also made some new pendants and have been making albums on my Facebook page with details about the products, because instead of doing Etsy, I'm going to focus on building the FB page. (Please check it out and give me a like.)

I'm honestly so stoked at how this week went. You have no idea how it feels to finally have found something that helps with the fatigue. I had a feeling it was related to how I sleep since I have mild sleep apnea. Seriously, if you have problems getting to sleep, consider talking to your doctor about melatonin. It's something our bodies make, so I figure that's better than a sleeping pill that will get you addicted.

What are you celebrating this week?

So glad you found something that helps you to sleep. There is nothing worse than being exhausted.

I think that waking up and not feeling tired is a myth.

Your pendants are really pretty!

Yay, melatonin! I've been touting the benefits for a decade, at least. After not being able to fall asleep in my 20s to 30s, I can now fall asleep no problem. It's a miracle.

And the better news--I only had to take the melatonin for about a year. I haven't taken it regularly for years. (7? 10? I can't remember when I last took it.) And I still fall asleep easily.

Ooh, awesome! As someone who's always struggled with sleep, I know how exciting it can be to actually fall asleep in under an hour for once, LOL.

And congrats on all the productivity! Those pendants look really cool...
