The rules are blog about something good in your life. It can be something little or something big, but the goal is to find the positive in life and celebrate it. Then hop around the linky list on Lexa's blog and see what others are celebrating.
This week I'm celebrating another cover remake. Mistakes of the Past also got a new cover. Like Tempting's old cover, I liked the old one for Mistakes, but I noticed it just wasn't catching people's attention at my craft shows. And with a year since publishing coming up, I figured it was time.
I'm also celebrating writing this week. One of my goals for this year was to write a flash fiction story per month. Wednesday, I opened a file and wrote 1000 words. I'm not sure where this story is going or how long it will be, but I haven't written more than 100 word drabbles in three weeks.
I think my problem lately is I was burnt out by the stress of working on something in the hopes of getting it published. That adds a certain level of pressure because in the back of your mind you're constantly asking, "Will people enjoy this? Is it good enough?" So, it was nice to write something without that worry hanging over me. I need to figure out how to get in that frame when I'm working on things I want to turn into real books.
What things are you celebrating this week?
