Every Friday is Celebrate the Small Things with Lexa Cain and L.G. Keltner.

The rules are blog about something good in your life. It can be something little or something big, but the goal is to find the positive in life and celebrate it. Then hop around the linky list on Lexa's blog and see what others are celebrating.

This week I'm celebrating my husband's successful oral surgery. He had some bad teeth that needed yanked, so yesterday we drove 3 hours to Marquette for a roaring good time. The surgery went smoothly and fast. Only an hour to pull 11 teeth and get rid of an infection. If only the price had been that easy.

Not five minutes after he was awoken, he said to me though a mouthful of gauze and a swollen face, "I can drive like this." I told him no. He insisted one more time on the drive home (at one point he said he felt drunk, I might add) that he thought he could handle driving just fine. I pointed out that he was moving sluggish and slowly.

Now, he's currently passed out on the couch as I'm writing this Thursday afternoon because they gave him some good drugs, and I'm happy the surgery part is over.

Hopefully you overruled the driving. I remember my wife having her wisdom teeth removed and she barely knew where she was - driving would've been impossible.

That's so funny. What is it with people who always think they're okay to drive? I hope he feels more sensible soon.

I'm glad the surgery went well. It's definitely a good thing he didn't drive. Have a great weekend!

11 teeth? That's a lot! I was completely whacked out after having all 4 wisdom teeth removed. I wouldn't have even wanted to walk home alone, let alone drive.
