The objects we hold most dear, harbor the most cherished memories.
For the CHERISHED Blogfest, we invite you to talk to us about one of your cherished objects. Tell us what it is, post a picture of it if you like, and tell us why you cherish it.
Hosted by Dan Antion, Paul Ruddock, Peter Nena, Sharukh Bamboat, and Daily (W)rite.
So I went with both.
Cassette tapes have become obsolete. I don't even own something I could use to listen to them if I wanted, but I held onto a few. If you know me, you won't be surprised that they are Green Day tapes, Dookie being my favorite. I fell in love with Basketcase the moment I saw the music video (which was also the first time I heard the band.) Getting rid of the cassette just because I have the CD was not an option. (And getting rid of the CD just because it's on my computer isn't an option either.)
Jasper I think is a Cabbage Patch Kid horse. I'm not sure. I can't remember and I think my best friend at the time gave him to me. He probably needs a good wash because I had him all over the various yards I lived in.
Last toy is a Cleo, a Fashion Star Filly. My friends and I were obsessed with those toys and I had all but one of them. She's the first one I got, so while I donated the rest in the hopes of a child enjoying what I had when I was little, I kept Cleo.
