My writing is to do with a fictional concept of what life might be like in the 24th century. This is not new of course, when you look at Star Trek, Logan's Run, Mad Max, etc they are all based in the future. Where my idea is different is that it looks at a future that could actually happen (warp travel - really?), and a future that we would probably like (robots killing us in Terminator is not appealing to me!).
So I have thought of things that would be happening in the future, and from there the stories take shape. We live on Mars, the Moon, and on spacestations, so interplanetary transport is commonplace; government is centralised on Earth; nuclear and solar power is the main source of power; and there are 40 billion humans as a total population.
I have written three books, with others in the process of being done. Let me give you a sneak peek into them.
The Encyclopaedia of the Galactic Echo
The main key book for the concept. It details everything in my future of importance, so for example, how we got to live and collonialise Planet Mars and the Moon, what jobs we do and loads of other stuff. One of the really cool things about this book, if I say so myself, is that within this book, I have created adverts of companies and organisations that operate in the 24th century - transport companies, spaceship builders, government bodies, etc.
Bike Racing Into the Red
The Discovery of Love
A mega wealthy industry captain Remus Tallantyre, with domestic staff serving his every need. Two of them fall in love, something forbidden by Remus. So begins a tale of frustrated love and affection; until an event, only available to wealthy people in the 24th century threatens to throw a huge spanner into the works. An uplifting tale of what love actually means…
