I'm not super distraught right now. It was a shot in the dark and I didn't think I'd get lucky enough to get another foreign rights deal so quick. Being Human isn't topping sales chart so it's not an easy sell. I'm more sad for all the fans I made in Romania. I had almost two dozen requests to review the book. The blogs all featured Being Human and interviewed me. The comments blew me away. I received a lot of pleas hoping to see my book translated. Six reviews have been posted as well and all of them were 4 and 5 star reviews. I'm still getting requests for the book and swag to use for giveaways. I guess that wasn't enough to perk intrest of a publisher in Romania.
Now it's time to figure out where to go from here. I'd still like to get Being Human translated into Romanian (it is, after all, a vampire story and hello, Romania is the synonymous with vampires.) But like I said, the book isn't dazzling anyone with sales so that will make it difficult to pitch. (If you look at the self published books getting snatched up by publishers, they all sell well, making the publisher's job easier because the fanbase is already there.) Hopefully, some luck will come my way and I'll find someone who can help me get Being Human on shelves in Romania.
