It's time for the Insecure Writer's Support group again. IWSG is posted the first Wednesday of every month. It is the brain child of Ninja Captain Alex J. Cavanaugh. Get your fears and insecurities out or give words of encouragement. We're writers, let's support each other!

Before I start, since it's the first IWSG post of 2015, I'm going to give a little intro to myself.

Hi, I'm Patricia Lynne, but you can call me Patty. I'm a YA author who like to write from the POV of the monster or creature (since not all of my MCs are monsters, but they all tend to not be human.) I also am dabbling in New Adult for my, hopefully, next release. Currently, I reside in the frozen tundra AKA Upper Michigan. Some of my favorite things are serial killers, vampires, and Doctor Who.

I don't want to start 2015 IWSG with insecurities, so I'm going to share something fun I'm doing this year. 2014 I had no idea what I accomplished. The only thing I know of is re-eding and rereleasing Snapshots. That's it. I know I did stuff, but no idea what those things were.

So, this year, I'm do a rememberlutions jar. It's a cute idea to keep track of accomplishments. Whenever I achieve something, I write down and put it in my jar, that I decorated myself. Isn't it pretty? The sides say "Celebrate!" and "Never give up!" At the end of the year, I'll have to do a post where I go through it and show what I did.

Here's to making 2015 rock!

Serial killers, vampires, and Doctor Who...So when are we going to hang out??
I love, love, love the jar idea! I might just have to do that. It would be a great way to feel accomplished.

That's a really good idea. I can never remember what I did at the end of the year.

I LOVE that idea! See, that's why I keep a journal--for rememberlutions. I send out a monthly newsletter to family and friends who are on the other side of the country, and it gives me an excuse to review and see how far I've come. We need those reminders, eh?

The jar is a great idea. I should do that for when I have another bout of doldroms. I hope the new Dr. Who's are put on Netflix. I want more!

Another week or two of this weather and we'll be a frozen tundra down her in southern Michigan too. I hope the weather is keeping you stuck inside the house, busy writing.

Great idea. I'm keeping a jar of happy thoughts I write one every day. Let's see if I keep up with it. Here's to a great 2015!

Another Whovian. I knew I liked you, Pat. Love the jar idea. I'm really going to have to do that this year.

What a great idea! And so much healthier than my way, which is eating a piece of chocolate every time I have an accomplishment!

That jar is a great idea! I sat there trying to remember what I'd achieved this year and came up short. I'm pretty sure I'm remembering less than what I did, but I like the idea of putting achievements in a jar. Good luck filling your jar this year!

Love this idea! I'm putting together my accomplishments from last year for my own blog. This jar idea would have helped me a lot. Thanks for sharing a great idea.

Serial killers and vampires don't worry me, but frozen tundra scares the hell out of this L.A. boy.

That jar is such a great idea! Don't forget to put ALL your successes in there, not just the "big" ones. :)

Hey Patty (sounds cute)
That jar is a fantastic idea!
I read about this on another blog... the blogger called it a Gratitude Jar. But the same principle applied.
Thanks for stopping by my blog on IWSG day!

Ooh, I have my jar but no cute embellishments yet! I love that idea. As we speak I have something cool going on in my writing life, a possibity I can't share yet, but it's worth celebrating. I keep reasoning and telling myself not to get excited, but I think I need to add it to the jar.

I grew up in SW Michigan and we got a ton of lake effect snow. I'm still in the Midwest, but not as much snow where I am. Still cold though. That's why I'm inside checking blogs :)

Happy New Year writing!
