Honestly, figuring out my favorite heroes and villains isn't that easy. There are so many to choose from and I can't recall all I've seen. Do I go with books? Movies? TV? My imagination? I think I've created some good heros and villains for my stories. Maybe I should go with the first ones to pop in my head. If they come to mind ASAP then they must have been memorable and have something about them that I like.
So let's see, who comes to mind first when I think of heroes...
Yup, just R. As in the zombie hero from Warm Bodies. I admit part of the reason he comes to mind so fast is I just got the movie, but I loved the book and fangirled over it quite a bit. R is just so likable - even though he eats people. But he's a zombie that wants more to his undead life and you'd never expect a zombie to be so deep.
Plus, admit it, he's hawt. If you haven't read this book, go out and do so. Then check out the movie because for an adaptation, it's pretty good.
Hear me out. In my story, humanity is aware of vampires and strives to destroy them and Tommy has to elude Vampire Forces to stay *ahem* alive. But Vampire Forces isn't really the villain in the story. Humanity as a whole is the main villain in my story, but also, in a way, Tommy is his own worst enemy. He gets turned and loses his humanity. He can't remember being human. First few pages he kills his parents and almost kills his twin brother.
Throughout the story, there are times Tommy struggles with his nature. He embraces what he is, but there are times when being a vampire doesn't work in his favor. He has to fight himself if he wants to be the hero.
