I have a few of bits of news so I thought I'd lump it all together with my #writemotivation update. Plus, I like the word hodgepodge. It's fun!
Anyways, first off, cover wars is still raging on. I've been posting reminders on Facebook and Twitter, and I'm going to bug here as well. I don't care if I sound like an annoying broken record. Go Vote! Preferably for my cover. ;) There is also the scavenger hunt to participate in. This is a monthly thing too, so if you have a book and want a bit of cheap advertising, it's only $5 for cover wars, enter your book.
Second, I'm debating Friday Quick Fic. Do I want to bring it back? What do you think? Posts were hit and miss, but it was a fun way to stretch my creative muscles. People really liked the dark tales. OMG my blog followers are all serial killers.
In non-writing news, I got a Vitamix blender and it is amazingballs. Worth the 350$ I paid for it. And course, now that I bought it, the price is lower. But I got free shipping, so I'm sure it evens out in the end. Felt like sharing that.
As for my #writemotivation goals...
Goal 1: Write my ghost story. Which still needs a title. – Still haven't done this, but I have thought about scenes to write. That's kind of like plotting. I've also been watching Ghost Adventures, much to hubby's annoyance, and that's totally writing research. ;)
Goal 2: Edit Out of Secrets. I have notes from MB and MJ. They are on my desktop, staring at me. – I've been focusing on Snapshots. I get fixated on one project and like to finish it before starting another.
Goal 3: Read. I got some books for Christmas so might as well start there. – Didn't read anything last week. I just played Word Search on the tablet a lot.
Goal 4: This is the most important goal. Not let myself get down, and if I do, remember I have friends who care about my happiness and well being. – So far, I'm good. =D
Goal 5: Reread Snapshots and do any edits if needed. – I'm on chapter 10 of 20.
Not sure how this week will go due to the day job. I get to start training someone new (again) and will be getting close to 40 hours this week. I expect to be emotionally and physically sapped and too worn out to want to do much besides nap. I have no plans on cooking dinner.
