I recently discovered an interesting blogging idea called Ink Ripples. Created by Katie L. Carroll, Kai Strand, and Mary Waibel, the idea is they give a keyword on the first Monday of the month and you write about it. The hashtag is #InkRipples. There is no wrong way to do #InkRipples (with the exception of following basic human decency!). It’s about having a conversation, sharing ideas, and connecting.
This month's word is "COVERS". For a list of words for the rest of the year, click here.
I thought I'd talk about the cover for one of my books under my pen name, Patricia Josephine. The cover for Abducted Life came together surprisingly easy. Or at least I think it did. The two models I found quickly. I don't remember the search terms or why I was looking, but it was only a few pages in that I found Savvy and Evan. When I contacted S.A. Hunt with what I wanted and he sent me a mock up the only change I needed to request was to use my NA pen name, Patricia Josephine. I remember for the first Path of Angels book, Michael, the cover artist and I had a hell of a time getting it right. Those wings were a pain. In a way, it felt like fate was giving me a sign that I was on the right track to publish Abducted Life.
