I actually forgot to blog about this. Back in May, hubby and I took a weekend trip to Saginaw, Michigan. Why? Because we wanted to and had never been there. Michigan has a ton of things to do, so we've been working on seeing all the sights.
This, is a library. Let me repeat that. A LIBRARY.
There was a museum with a variety of artifacts.
The writing chair, all writers need!
Along with the museum, we visited a small art museum.
The last thing we were lucky enough to see was a exhibit from The Jim Crowe Museum. No photography was allowed because every single thing in this display was highly racist! I wish I could have snapped some pictures, but I understand why. It was mindboggling and saddening and humbling to think people thought that way. With the recent shooting in Orlando, we still have a way to go in terms of being accepting of people, but we are getting there and this exhibit was proof of that.
