It's Friday and I'm supposed to be doing Friday Quick Fic, but I'm holding off once again because I have something cool to share. Last weekend, my bestie, Danielle and I went to MIParaCon which is a convention about all things paranormal. It was my second year attending.
Now, I'm not sure what I think about ghosts, aliens, and Big Foot, but I love reading about them, and watching the TV shows, so it's something that interests me. I like seeing the evidence presented and learning about experiences the people have.
Will I go on a ghost hunt myself?
Oh HELL NO! I am too big of a wuss. I prefer to sit in the comfort of my home, DURING THE DAY, and watch others do it. Anyways, on to Day one of the pictures––which are Danielle's because my phone sucks at taking pictures.
This year, we had cosplayers. Steampunk GhostBuster cosplayers to be exact because Earnie Hudson was a guest. I love Steampunk. It is a beautiful thing and these were cool costumes.
Two speakers were Dave Shrader and Tim Dennis who host Darkness Radio. Tim discussed EVPs, which is why I was on stage at one point. Tui Snider caught one and I wanted to ask if he would be able to help her clean it up so we can figure out if 1)it's a real EVP and 2)if so, what's it saying. Dave went over Supernatural Crimes Investigated and crimes that had been solved with the help of ghosts. Both cool topics.
This was one of my fangirl moments. Jael De-Pardo was on Destination Truth and Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files, both shows I've seen and enjoyed. Then finding out she is an artist was added icing to the cake. I had to get a picture and a t-shirt.
This was one of Danielle's fangirl moments. She loves horror and got to listen to Andrea Perron talk about The Conjuring and what really happened. I had never seen the movie because horror scares me too much, but it was an interesting talk. Andrea was so passionate and on more than one occasion teared up remembering what her family went through.
I'm going to end the post now because I still have FOUR more people I saw from Day One alone. Stay tuned for part two.
