![]() I've been tagged again. A..K. Taylor tagged me for the Next Big Thing. Which gives me a reason to torment more people and use a lolcat image. Rules are answer ten questions about your current WIP. Tag five writers/bloggers and link to them. What is the working title of your book? Being Vampire. Where did the idea come from for the book? It's the sequel to Being Human and I wanted to do something even more different by having vampires, which humans know exist in Being Human, return to myth. What genre does your book fall under?
Young Adult paranormal or YA contemporary with paranormal twist. Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition? Ugh, I am no good at this and don't even have an inkling of an idea. What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book? Since I'm rewriting the first draft, I haven't even though about one sentence synopsis for it. Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency? I'll self publish. I'm too much of a control freak to want to go traditional. I like having the say in my cover, title, blurb, and yes, even being in control of marketing. How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript? Too long. Ended up taking two months off because I was completely blocked on the story. I couldn't figure out the ending so I forced myself to stop thinking about. One morning, woke up and knew how to end the story. What other books would you compare this story to within your genre? I don't have any stories to compare Being Human to so I have no idea if there are any stories out there I can compare Being Vampire to. Who or What inspired you to write this book? Drew inspired me. I wasn't quite done writing Being Human and he tried to distract me. I think it made him made so when it was finally time to listen to him, he refused to talk. Pesky vampire. ;) What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest? In Being Vampire, vampires have been completely erased from history, so the kids Drew lives with in foster have never even heard the word vampire. Drew hasn't either. He just thinks he has mental disabilities and phobias. Tag you’re it!
