Jaded & Domino
The Domino Project originally began as two very different books. One, an offworld, completely adrium alien based one called Domino. The other was a world based psionic school that trained assassins and infiltrators – it was called Jaded.
I wrote about 50k collectively on these, and I liked both of them, but there was something off for me. It just wasn’t’ working. Back then I didn’t plot my books out, I pantsed, so this was very irritating and stopped me in my tracks.
But I loved the concept behind Domino so much, and the relationship Sai and Domino had. And I got to thinking about the assassin species I’d created, and loved it so much, but what I had wasn’t working right. And then I got the idea for The Domino Project.
I pulled characters from different areas of each book, and it came together far better than I’d envisaged. And The Domino Project was born.
"Wow! A fast-paced, science fiction delight with fabulous action, a seamless world, and the most unique characters I've read in a long time." Elana Johnson, Author of the Possession Series.
When Sai's newly awoken psionic powers accidentally destroy her apartment complex, she’s thrown into an intensive training program. Her only options are pass or die.
Surviving means proving her continued existence isn't a mistake--a task her new mentor, Bastian, takes personally. Her abilities place her in the GNW Enforcer division, and partners her with Domino 12, who is eerily human for an alien-parasite psionic hybrid.
After eliminating an Exiled scientist, she discovers nothing is what it seems. With each mission more perilous, Sai must figure out who to trust before her next assignment becomes her last.
