This week the Book Blogger Hop asks: What is your favorite horror novel and why?
I used to read tons of horror novels when I was younger, Goosebumps, Fear Street, and so on. I also read Salem's Lot by Stephen King. I heard it had a vampire in it, so you can guess why I picked it up. More recently, I read Thorns In Dark Places by Lake Lopez, a Twitter friend (who I haven't said a peep to in forever. I'm a bad Twitter friend. >.<)
If I had to pick, I'd say the Fear Street books are my favorite. Even years later, I can remember bits and pieces of the stories I read. They stuck with me (even if there were no vampires that I can recall.) Sometimes, I'm tempted to find them so I can reread them and see if they scare me more or less now. I think it'd be a fun trip down memory lane.
Now, it's your turn. Let me know in the comments what your favorite horror novel is and why.
