Thank you Miss Muse. I really needed a new story right now. Le sigh!
- Weekend Pics and Friday Quick Fic buffer
- Finish Horns, review it, and start a new book
- Bug people about beta reading so I can resume editing stories ;)
- Continue writing Being Vampire
- Exercise 3x a week (I know I didn't do that great on them last month but Pinterest has some great 5-10 minute workouts that I have no excuse not to be able to squeeze in 3x a week.)
First week I did okay. I got some in, but then there was a teeny tiny hiccup at the day job. We lost the morning cook, the guy who was going to do the 6am to 2pm shift. And guess who volunteered to do it.
Since it was our grand re-opening, to say we were busy was an understatement. I easily got overtime. EASILY. And breaks? HA! What are those? I'm the type who when I have things to do at the day job, I don't usually take a break until I finish. And it was never ending, so I didn't sit or stop for my shifts. If I did, it was at the end, so I still worked 7-8 straight hours non-stop. My feet really hurt and I splurged on some insoles for my shoes. By the time I got home, I was whipped. Exercise wasn't happening. A nap was, that's for sure! It didn't help we were also short a dishwasher.
I'm hoping next week is a bit calmer. Not really business-wise, but workload-wise. We did find a dishwasher in so I don't have to give up one of my cooks. That should help. I have no problem delegating. Hopefully, I won't get overtime and be so tired that my brain can't figure out how a sentence works.
Lastly, I'm adding a new goal. I know, I know, I just explained how the day job is being crazy, but I need the accountability. I have two stories to beta read. One I'm already halfway done. In my next two days off I need to finish Marie's story and start on Elsie's.
Wish me luck and lots of good night's sleep.
