#WriteMotivation November

Holy crap. It's November. That means my birthday is coming up. It also means it's time to wrap up October's goals and make new ones.

October goals:
  • Friday Quick Fic and Weekend Pics for the month
I'm good on this. Got my buffer for the month.
  • Finish Horns and pick a new book
I finished Furiously Happy and will have a review post up soon. Instead of picking Horns back up, I started another book. I think I've just lost interest in Horns. I honestly don't care about the main character or any of them really. They all seem to be really horrible people and I can't root for them. Probably going to DNF it.
  • Beta read for Elsie
I finished this in one day. I could not stop reading her story.
  • Get Luc to shut up or write this story so I can work on Being Vampire
I've made progress on this. Around 20K words so far. Now, if only Luc would tell me the title.
  • Take walks with hubby if I'm not going to do real exercises (he walks fast)
Didn't do to great with this one, but it's COLD out.
  • Go over Christine's notes.
Totally forgot about them. I need to download them and get the on the desktop.

I managed a few goals. I can live with that, but I think I need to try to push myself a little more for November. Maybe with a new cook who will be taking a few morning shifts from me I won't be so tired when I get home and I can put my nose to the keyboard.
  • Keep on doing what I'm doing with Friday Quick Fic and Weekend Picks.
  • Work on that TBR Pile. Finish one book, start another.
  • Go through Christine's notes.
  • Listen to Luc talk and plot ways of making him suffer for not giving me title ideas (aka write.)
  • Take walks with hubby or exercise (should be more doable if I'm not getting up at 530am every day.)
  • Read that book I told Morgan I'd reread and review on StoryDam.com

All right. I'm ready for November. Ready, set, goals!

Some books, we'll just never finish, and that's all right.
Now, bundle up and go for a walk! Good exercise. And good time to sort things out in your mind plus bond with your husband.

I just feel bad about the book because hubby really liked it and wanted to discuss it with me and I'm meh about it.

I either have a post written (vaguely recall doing that) or am going to write a post.

I'm reading Furiously Happy right now. Some parts are making me cry with laughter. I loved this author's first book. My eleven-year-old wants to read it because I giggle so much, but I'm afraid some of the topics might be too mature for her--she will leave the room if anyone starts discussing illness/health related topics.

Yeah, I think it might be a bit too mature for her. When she's older!

Yeah, November--I'm not thrilled about it coming so soon. This morning my wife was cheering about it. I was wishing it was still September.

I wouldn't mind going back to September. I need more time.

I wish it was cold here in Florida. We haven't even had one chilly Autumn day. It's been a real bummer! And that's why I haven't been getting much exercising done. Too hot!

Good luck with your November goals!

November is an insanely busy month for me - can't believe how fast the year has gone.

Good luck with your goals! The walking will help give you energy to tackle the rest. xo

Well maybe you can publish the book over the holidays, or at least that's what I would do, my list of things getting postponed to the holiday break is growing exponentially :P Happy brthmonth!!

I still need to hire an editor and figure out titles for my stories, and get a cover artist. Still lots to do before I can hit publish!

You may not finish Horns, but it sounds like Elsie book was pretty darn good! I like this line "I can work on Being Vampire", it's a good goal! LOL

Love this idea of posting your monthly goals on the blog and then checking in to see how you did. Great motivation to be accountable.

Hope you have a Happy Birthday, Patricia!!
