#WriteMotivation

Holy crap, another month has flown by. Is it because I was out of work due to the fire? I bet it was. It was like a long stay-cation and vacations always end too soon. At least this gave me plenty of time to slack off on my goals. Not that I did too much. ;)

Before I get to my goals, I'm going to note that for Write Motivation, I'll be posting updates on the 1st and 15th of the month. That way I can use Mondays for one of the many posts I've had written and have been putting off posting because of guest posts or Write Motivation. If either of those days lands on a Monday then I'll just have 2 posts. Those of you who don't care about my goals can skip the Write Motivation posts. =P

Now, onto my goals, starting with the wrap up.
  • I'm going to recycle weekly writing chores. I did a month's worth of Weekend Picks and this seems to work out well.
This is done and the Weekend Picks are ready to go. Friday Quick Fic will resume once I'm done fangirling over MIParaCon.
  • Finish reading I, Ripper and pick a new book.
I, Ripper read and reviewed. It was a good read. Now working on Horns.
  • Write down what I figured out for Alien story! If I can remember, I can write it.
Nothing yet. I found it really hard to focus on with edits on other stories and writing Being Vampire. Elsie has gotten me her notes, so maybe now I can jar my memory.
  • Edit Luc's story with Mel's notes (and hopefully soon, Marie's.)
Went through their notes and my bestie, Sara said she wanted to read it so I sent it to her.
  • Work on Being Vampire. I recently started rewriting it from scratch and it seems to be flowing decently now. I was stuck on plot holes, but maybe now I can fix them.
I've been plugging away at this and probably added a good 10K to it. Sometimes Drew talks to me. Other times I have to drag the words out of him. Vampires, I tell ya!
  • Going to add a non-writing goal: Exercise twice a week.
This was hit or miss. I managed one week, but the last week in August week I had a death in the family and pretty much everything got pushed to the side.

Only one goal I didn't get anything done with. Pretty darn good if I say so myself. Now, to torment myself for the month of September!
  • Weekend Pics and Friday Quick Fic buffer
  • Finish Horns, review it, and start a new book
  • Bug people about beta reading so I can resume editing stories ;)
  • Continue writing Being Vampire
  • Exercise 3x a week (I know I didn't do that great on them last month but Pinterest has some great 5-10 minute workouts that I have no excuse not to be able to squeeze in 3x a week.)

I like the idea of using Pinterest to find workouts.

And there are a lot of variety and can have a range of times, so you can easily find something to fit in to your schedule.

I like your goals and crossing them off! Yes to the exercise. That clears the head and makes those goals achievable.

Wait. Fire, what? I'm so behind. Here's hoping things get back to normal soon!

Oh yeah. The city was paving the parking lot and someone they hired was using a blow torch and caught the building on fire. =\

That's a great list of goals, right there! It's exciting to work on multiple projects, and I'm looking forward to learning more. I'll be running through Luc's story again over the next few days :-D
