#WriteMotivition Update

Okay, so the blog post title is definitely me being lazy. What can I say? I'm tired right now. Sundays do that to me. Anyways, it will be Monday soon and it's time to check in with my goals.

Goal 1: Write my ghost story. Which still needs a title. – Haven't done this.

Goal 2: Edit Out of Secrets. I have notes from MB and MJ. They are on my desktop, staring at me. –I thought about doing this, but didn't.

Goal 3: Read. I got some books for Christmas so might as well start there. – I DID THIS! I read two, count it two, books. A collection of Christmas themed short stories by Larry Kollar and World After by Susan Ee. I've waited over two years for this book. Worth it.

Goal 4: This is the most important goal. Not let myself get down, and if I do, remember I have friends who care about my happiness and well being. – I was a bit down the other day and my #writemotivation peeps rallied around me... I had no idea how to react to the positive. I was expecting to be ignored. (More about that for my IWSG post.)

Goal 5: Reread Snapshots and do any edits if needed. – I started this. I'm on chapter three. I need to blog about this too. Later though. Monday is my 9 hour shift day at the day job, so I'm declaring it my day off from writing.

Not too shabby, but it's only the beginning of the month. I have to keep this momentum and motivation up. Easier to say when I've had three days off. I still have to see how I manage on days I work the day job. But I've started daily to do lists and I'm hoping the accountability it provides will keep me going.

PS: Cover war reminder! Go vote for me! Daily! Also, check out the scavenger hunt for chances to win awesome prizes.

"I thought about doing this, but didn't." <---That's been, like, my life's story lately.

And I've heard good things about Susan Ee's books. Glad you enjoyed it.

Best of luck with the writing and edits and the 9 hour shift. Those are seldom fun.

It's the story of my life a lot. ^^;;
Today I am training the one baker to make dumplings. Not really looking forward to training, but am looking forward to not having to make dumplings all the time. XD

I'm trying, but this week is turning out to be busy with non-writing stuff. (Non-writing loves getting the way. *pout*)

I do a lot of thinking about doing things, too. >_< Seems to be a human thing.

Yay for reading, though!

*hugs* I'm sorry you had a hard time the other day, and glad people were there to help you out.

And what's worse is we know we're doing it, yet can't stop. LOL

Congratulations on the things you did achieve. What I'm finding is by setting smaller goals I'm more productive. I'm not stressing about lots of things at once. I decided my brain couldn't cope :)

I do better with smaller goals too. I don't get overwhelmed that way and can keep thinking clearly and work.

For the beginning of the month hon, you're doing fantastic! Just take it one day at a time, one word at a time, one book at a time - and you get the idea.

Good luck on the rest of the month :D

That way seems to work quite well. (I do it at the day job too when we get lots of orders.)
