A quick recap of what this hop is about. Talk about a book or writing related secret. It can be a guilty pleasure genre or something about writing you don't like that others love. Once your post is written, come back here and add it to the linky list. Then visit others and see what has been confessed. Easy peasy. Feel free to add the badge to your post as well.
Now on to my confession!
I have two topics in mind, but one is less interesting than the other so I'll give it a brief mention. I never read author interviews. I will do them. I will RT them, but I never read them. Honestly, I find them a bit boring.
It's not like my jealousy is bad. It doesn't make me bitter towards my friends. It's more I'm jealous because I wish I could share in their joy. A writer friend tells me how sales are going for the month and I'm happy for my friend, but wishing I could reply back, "Yeah, my sales were awesome too." So it's not like I'm wishing their book would die or that they'd drop off the face of the earth. I just want to have my own good news too.
I guess you could say at times I feel left out. Why can't I hang with the cool kids type of feeling. Forever alone!
But here's the kicker: it's all in my head. Friends have their successes and I have mine. Hello, Being Human is being translated and published in Turkey and I got paid for it. Romanian bloggers keep asking when Being Human is going to be translated in their language. Influence of Love rocked the charts one week and is still hanging in on Ghost, Futuristic & Fantasy. I may not be a sensation, but like my friends, I've had successes. Jealousy over what's happening now makes me forget that.
That's my big confession. Now let's hear yours. I'll leave the linky list open until the 15th so any stragglers can still post their confession.
