Trick-or-Treat Reads is an annual Halloween event where authors put their books for free and readers go trick-or-treating to get the books. BOOKS ARE THE CANDY!
SO, WHAT DO AUTHORS DO?
A linky list will be posed for authors to sign up. It will be open until October 31st. On Halloween, create a blog post, Twitter or Facebook status directing readers to your book. Your book(s) must be free in order to participate. You can do that via a giveaway or by making the book(s) free on Amazon, Smashwords, B&N, or other retailers. The book(s) can be any genre. Just make sure to note the audience. Webcomics, fan fiction, and Wattpad stories are also welcome. The goal is for readers to find your work. Also, make sure readers can easily find your books.
Promote the event with the badges below and using the hashtag #trickortreatreads. You are welcome to create your own post on your blog. The more people that know about this, the more readers you will meet.
And what do readers do?
You have the easy part. On Halloween, hop around the linky list and download books! You can also help promote by using the hashtag #trickortreatreads or writing your own blog post about the event.
